Kainos is Greek. Simply, it means "new". There's much more to this word, though. There's also another word for "new" in the Greek. It's neos. So what is the difference? Kainos is only used in scripture when referring to what has happened to the person placed in Jesus' body on the cross and in his resurrection. Other instances of "new" in the text are always neos. Kainos is reserved for the "new wineskin", the "new creation". To the Greek mind, this referred to something never before seen. Kainos meant new in every way. Kainos meant novel and unique. It was a word reserved for something truly remarkable and without comparison. God has utilized this word to let our finite minds begin a journey to discover just how new we are in Christ. We are not a new version of the old. We are not an improved model with new powers. We are a new race that many great men and prophets longed to see! What has been done in Christ is beyond religion; beyond empowered law abiding. We have been killed with Christ. We have been remade into his righteousness.
This is what Kainos House is founded on. This is the freedom from which this group was formed. Kainos House is the answer to this Question:
"So here you stand, uncondemned now forever. What will you do with your freedom?"~Capon
